What do you do at Alpha Trains Group and how long have you been working there?
I am the Commercial Manager for France, a role I have held since August 2023. I focus on creating customized leasing contracts, providing innovative and flexible solutions, and collaborating closely with clients to support their goals.
My experience in trade finance has also strengthened my expertise in the movement of goods, financial strategies, and client relationship management.
Why did you choose to join this company?
Because it is a keyplayer in rail freight, particularly in France. Rail freight is essential to driving trade and growth, and we play a pivotal role by empowering operators with customized solutions.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Uncovering how rail connects different regions and markets. Rail plays a vital role for connecting people, goods, and economies sustainably.
Analyzing these connections, collaborating with clients, overcoming challenges together and achieving a tangible and measurable success is incredibly fulfilling!
What are the specific characteristics of the French rail market? Are there specific needs?
The French rail market is one of Europe’s most significant, the third largest for rail freight. Its extensive network positions it as a strategic hub, facilitating the movement of goods across Europe. Since the liberalization of rail freight, the market is undergoing a period of transformation, with more competition and innovation. Modernization of infrastructure and rolling stock also remains a key topic.
Customers in France increasingly seek flexible, tailored solutions that address their unique operational challenges. They also require modern, efficient locomotives to improve reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in their operations. Meeting these needs is crucial for us.
What is your favorite locomotive and why?
The VectronMS represents an exciting new build locomotive for France. Its multi-system capabilities, data management, customizable maintenance scheme, and eco-friendly design, make it a highly adaptable and efficient solution.
I also highly value the G1206 for its proven reliability. It perfectly meets many customers′ needs.
How do you define customer satisfaction?
